CANANDAIGUA — Adults are invited to a free community science evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 11 at Onanda Park, 4965 County Road 16.
The event is sponsored by the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and the Finger Lakes Land Trust. It is free and open to the public, with registration required at https://forms.gle/RgwfEPRm9mj11Rkf6.
Participants will cycle through four interactive stations to learn about aquatic plants, terrestrial invasive species, aquatic macroinvertebrates, and CLWA’s citizen science programs. Retired professor Dr. Bruce Gilman of Finger Lakes Community College, a member of Finger Lakes Partnership for Research on Invasive Species Management in Geneva, watershed educators, and CLWA staff will provide information.
A dinner of subs, snacks and drinks will be served.
